HOT WATER BOILER & ELECTRIC STEAM BOILER MAINTENANCE

Like all industrial equipment, electric steam and electric hot water boilers require periodic maintenance and inspections to ensure their correct, safe and efficient operation. Again, to ensure the progress of the production process and also save cost that may be incurred due to damage, you need to carry out routine maintenance of the electric steam boiler or hot water boiler.

· Internal inspection of the pressure body, plates, hearth and tubular beam to control the formation of scale or corrosion of the component parts. It is important that photographs of the state be taken to have a historical record of the boiler. · Change door seals, always install new gasket materials and check cap seats.

· Verification of the internal state of the burner and cleaning thereof. Check the status of cables and connection chords.

· Measurement of plate thicknesses, hearth and cylindrical body by ultrasound, also record these values. It may be necessary to recalculate the maximum working pressure if these thicknesses are reduced.

· Hydraulic test of the working pressure equipment. It is done to verify that there are no leaks prior to maintenance or after that (inspection door seals, flanges, threads, etc). Keeping the container pressurized for 15 minutes is sufficient.

· Verification of the opening of safety valves at a regulated pressure. If possible, remove them for stamping in the test bench.

· Inspection of the refractory state in a burner or dry bottoms. Fill cracks if they exist or replace the damaged parts with the appropriate materials and taking into account the set times.

· Gas analysis and combustion regulation. Through this process, the percentage of the following gases will be determined: O2, CO2, and CO. In addition, the temperature of the gases in the chimney and the thermal performance of the boiler will be measured.

· Preparation of a technical report with the results obtained in the measurement of combustion efficiency and on the general state of the equipment, maintaining a history.

· Inspection of the refractory state in a burner or dry bottoms. Fill cracks if they exist or replace the damaged parts with the appropriate materials and taking into account the set times.

· Verification of the internal state of the burner and cleaning thereof. Check the status of cables and connection cards.

· Simulation of burner failure conditions.

· Start-up of the equipment where the operation of the control and safety elements will be checked.

· Test of safety pressure switches eliminating electrically the normal cut.
